What Are Your Cigar Box Guitar necks Made Out Of?
I use either poplar necks or red oak depending on what I have in stock. The poplar are smoother and lighter and the red oak are more porous. Both work great at a cigar box guitar neck. I carefully hand sand the edges to round them for easier playing. The end of the neck has a slope which allows the tuners to be installed. The rear end of the neck it attached to the lid of the cigar box.
